I’ve been writing a lot of go code lately. I have issues with working memory, and I basically never remember syntax, so doing simple, common, boilerplate operations takes me longer than it “should”. It turns out, LLMs are great at remembering syntax, so with the help of an LLM, it turns me back into the 5-7x programmer I once was.
I told a friend at OpenAI yesterday, “you guys have made the most useful tool since the text editor”, and I think perhaps it’s true.
It’s a good time to be alive.
